Content Filtering
While the Internet provides students with rich, instantaneous content and is an undeniably powerful resource during their educational careers, it’s also full of inappropriate – perhaps even harmful – material that students need protection from. Our content service provides school districts with a customizable solution to ensure safe Internet access while maintaining an anytime, anywhere learning environment.
Since acceptable use policies vary from school to school, our filtering service gives each school the ability to choose from more than two-dozen different content categories to customize its service. By filtering the Internet at a central, static point for each district, access can then be provided to each school location according to their unique criteria. In addition to content, filters can be set to limit time-of-day access, which restricts Internet usage to particular times during the day.
