About Us
GCI SchoolAccess provides distance learning and Internet education solutions for schools with students in rural and underserved regions of the country. Designed by veteran educators and experienced technologists, we understand the specific services and tools needed to create a highly interactive learning environment. We have taken an active role in partnering with the education community to deliver more than just service – our goal is to make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of your students.
In 1997, GCI introduced SchoolAccess to help rural communities in Alaska achieve their mission of educating children and preparing them for lifelong success. Today, we focus exclusively on the K-12 school environment, providing distance learning and Internet services to over 100,000 students. With more than 30,000 endpoint connections throughout Alaska, New Mexico, Arizona, and Montana, and over 2 million minutes logged year-to-date on our video conferencing network, we are delivering on this mission.
